Honor Guard Uniforms

-Dress Uniforms-

To respectfully represent the Walpole Police Department with pride, our Honor Guard has been fully outfitted with Military Spec Dress Uniforms.

The dress uniforms include a ceremonial hat, with blue hat band.  A four-button dress coat, with epaulettes, and full ceremonial cord, in combination with dress shirt and tie.  In addition, the coats have braided shoulder cords, and a special "Honor Guard" shoulder patch.  Pleated and trimmed trousers with high gloss, highly polished, leather boots, are also worn.  Finally, high-gloss duty belts, and a leather dress shoulder strap.

The Walpole Police Department Honor Guard also displays three ceremonial flags while marching.  The Flag of the United State of America, the Massachusetts State Seal, and the Walpole Police Department Honor Guard Flag, are flown during events.  In addition to the flags, they also carry ceremonial M14 rifles.  The M14 rifles, donated by the National Guard, were beautifully restored by our own resident firearms historian, Patrolman John Wilmot.

The Walpole Police Department Honor Guard is something that we are very proud of.  The officers involved work hard to keep their dress uniforms in pristine condition, and they practice hard on their formations and ceremonial maneuvers.

This page was created to thank those involved in creating, organizing, and participating in the Walpole Police Honor Guard, your hard work is truly appreciated.
