MetroLEC - RRT

-Regional Response Team-

The Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council's Regional Response Team is a multi-functional task force capable accomplishing many goals that would otherwise overwhelm a small community.  The unit includes some 100+ tactical police officers, who have been extensively trained, and cross trained, in the handling of several different areas of expertise.  In addition, the unit has access to many critical resources that may be required during these difficult situations, like a mobile command center.

The main purpose of the RRT is search and rescue operations, where they have the capabilities to search at any time, in any weather, and over any terrain.  The RRT is equipped for several different levels of search from low-risk missing persons, to high-risk fleeing felon searches.  There are two (2) factors that are critical during these situations, and they are time elapsed and the size of the area.  Many local police departments do not have the man-power to effectively search large areas of, for example, woodland terrain.  Therefore, the RRT was created as a rapid deployment, highly trained, and well-manned force that can respond quickly and have the resources to conduct large scale searches through difficult terrain, effectively addressing these two (2) critical factors.

In addition to search and rescue operations, the RRT has also been trained in responding to situations of civil unrest.  These situations require well equipped and well trained officers so that these difficult situations can end peacefully.  From the DNC, to the parades and rallies for your favorite champion sports teams, the RRT unit has served a critical roll for local communities.

-What They Offer-

The RRT offers member communities access to the rapid deployment of a large scale force, as well as an incident command structure, for instances of search and rescue or civil unrest.  Whether the search is night or day, for a lost child or wanted felon, in the woods or water, the RRT is a fully self sufficient unit that can rapidly respond.
