Schools

The Walpole Police Department is dedicated to forming a strong relationship between our officers, the schools, and the children of Walpole.  We offer many outstanding programs for both children and parents alike, to strengthen the relationship with the department, and to help parents keep their children safe.  One of the most obvious steps is the use of crossing guards, posted at the various schools, to ensure the safety of children while they go to and from school.  I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the many individuals involved in the crossing guard program.  Your hard work and dedication has kept our kids safe for many years, and we appreciate your hard work....thank you.

The Walpole Police Department also enlists the expertise of a full-time School Resource Officer, Tim Songin.  You can read all about SRO Songin's work on our "Resource Officer" page.

On top of that, we also have many programs for the schools and school aged children alike.  For parents, we offer the free and expert installation of child safety seats.  In addition, at points during the year, members of the department will attend local events, and offer a wonderful program known as "Safe Kids".  Here, parents can have their children photographed and fingerprinted in case an emergency situation should arise.

In addition, WalpolePD.com offers a ton of information for parents.  If you are interested, you may want to check out the Community Info section.  You can also find safety tips for your little bikers under the Bike Patrol section.  Look around, there is a lot of great information to be found.
